Hot or Not is one of the most popular applications on Facebook and is excellent for meeting girls. Add the application and you might have to fill out a little information. Once that is done click the “Meet People” button in the top right corner. Select the city you live in, the age range you want to search for, and start clicking “yes” or “no” depending on whether you find a girl attractive. You can do an anonymous “yes” but it is not recommended.

Once you click “yes” on a girl it will then alert her the next time she signs on Facebook and she can click “yes” or “no” in response. If you both click “yes” then it leads to a “double match.” At this point it will let you Facebook message the girl.

When you click the option to send them a message it will show their full name. I would recommend that you type in her name in the search field and look at her profile before you message her.

You can experiment with different messages based on your personality but one of the ones I like to use, that has been very successful is “We double matched on Hot or Not (insert girls name)! I am just not ready to get married yet though… So we will have to take things slow =P You ok with that?”

No matter what your message says, this is a great way to meet women.

   With Valentines Day finally here I couldn’t let it pass without giving some Myspace and Facebook dating advice.

Valentines is a day centered around passion and romanticism.  A big part of both of these is enthusiasm.

Meeting girls on Facebook and Myspace is not any different.  You have to be enthusiastic when you talk with them.  A lot of dating gurus will say that you should match the energy given off by the other person.  If you meet a girl at a bar for example and she is really cutting loose and you are completely boring and dull it will probably not work out.  Online is the same way you have to show energy in your messaging.

You could say “Hey, what’s up? we haven’t talked in a while”  or you could say “Hey! We haven’t talked in forever! What’s up?”  It may seem a little “girly” but it has a lot more energy and basically screams for a response.  Not only that but she will be more energetic in her response.  If you get energy going in a conversation its alot easier to convert that what I call “potential energy” in the conversation into a “kinetic energy” of you two actually meeting up.

Now it may be a little late to get a Facebook or Myspace Valentines date.  If you start meeting new people or adding enthusiasm into the conversations with the people you currently talk to on these social networks though, you will be increasing your success and have a waiting list for you by next year.

            The New Year is definitely a time for reflection and for pondering what is to come. At Date Demon it is no different. Before I get to the new I wanted to discuss with you the old.

I have been giving dating advice for as long as I can remember and one of the key factors that is involved in any of these sessions is the “need.” Everyone that I have given advice to has had at that point a specific need for their dating life. Whether they wanted to meet more women and get more dates, whether they just wanted to have more success with the women they did meet, or whether they had a particular woman or relationship in mind, in all cases they had a need.

Not only can RoboForm keep track of all your passwords for various sites like Facebook, Myspace, Xuqa, Yahoo Personals, Hi5, or whatever but RoboForm has a Form Filling ability. That means instead of typing a message to send to the opposite sex you can click on the form filling tab of RoboForm and set it up to automatically fill in Facebook or Myspace messages! With this kind of tool it takes literally about 1 second to send a message to someone and it will type the subject, message, and everything for you.

             I recently added a new Facebook application that deals with dating on Facebook. It doesn’t matter what kind of a Facebook profile layout you have or how nice your profile is, with this application the only thing that people will see is your picture. Now before your mind begins to wonder what I mean by dating, I don’t mean this Facebook application will set you up on dates. It is not some miracle application with girls kissing and a line forming of girls waiting to go out with you. You are actually going to have to do some work (if you call it that.)

            Flirtable is an application which currently has over 220,000 active members. This Facebook application works with the same kind of Facebook profile layout as Hot or NOT. The main difference is instead of saying you want to meet a girl based on her profile picture, you click a button saying you want to “flirt” with her. The girls on the program can also send you private messages if they want to flirt with you. That’s the best thing about this application though you can actually send anyone you see a message. So now comes the all important question…

That’s the best part all of the advice I have given you for Facebook in general and for messaging girls can all apply here because you are basically just messaging girls! The 6 Most Important Rules For Dating On Myspace and Facebook.

Rule #1: You Can Never Lose!

You have to realize that besides the small amount of time you spend messaging new people, you really have nothing else to lose. The worst that will happen is that they will not respond or will not want to talk to you.

Rule #2: It Is A Social Network So Social Network!!

If you want to meet the opposite sex on a social network one of the best ways is just by social networking! Get involved in groups, in comments, on message boards, on walls, on the networks page, or wherever! The key here is that you just get involved!

Rule #3: If You Have Friends Use Them!

Use your friends as a way to meet new people. This can be anything from getting them to set you up with their friends on a blind date, messaging someone using your friend as a reference, or even getting your friend to have them message you.

Rule #4: Stay Up To Date.

Change your profile photos fairly often at least once every 2 months at the very least. Update your Facebook status, Facebook information, and update your Myspace page information. You should also keep in touch with friends you haven’t talked to in a while and constantly be willing to message and meet new people.

Rule #5: Use The Tools They Give You!

            These websites are social networks and as such they have built numerous tools for the sole purpose of connecting people. Why would you struggle to create a new way to meet people when tools are already there? On Facebook for example the application HOT or NOT has a “Meet” feature with the sole purpose of connecting two people that might want to meet. If you are trying to meet the opposite sex why wouldn’t you take advantage of a tool like this? The best part is these social networks have 1000’s of tools at your disposal all usable for many different purposes, one of which is definitely dating!

Rule #6: Your Profile Is Extremely Important!

            On any social networking website or personals website also, your profile is the first thing people will look at in order to get an impression of you. This means that you want them to check out and read your profile, but you want them to actually form a favorable impression of you because of it. You need to make a good profile page which shows who you are as an individual and shows off your strengths while downplaying your weaknesses. You also need to make sure your profile is visually appealing so they will stick around long enough to actually read about you.

Do not add 100 Facebook application boxes to your profile, do not add a Myspace theme that gives people a headache and makes the text impossible to read, do not write an entire paragraph about how you are in love with your ex girlfriend still, and do not put junk on your profile. Just use your good judgment on what adds value to your profile and what you could get rid of.
